One of the Republican favorites to run for Presidency in 2028 has stated that he's not leaving early to begin campaigning.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Thursday rejected reports he will leave Donald Trump's administration to run for president, telling the New York Times in an interview that working for Trump until the end of Trump's term has "always been my plan."
“I literally will not talk about 2028 anymore,” Rubio was quoted as saying by the Times. “I just won’t do it.”
He didn't say he wouldn't run, just that he's not running yet. We'll have to wait a bit longer to see if he is gonna run in 2028, but with 2 years left in Trump's term it's looking like Marco has a few more jobs to take on before the next election comes around.
